At present, most of ITM coal is utilized by electricity generators. The quality of ITM coal allows it to be sold to customers in countries with strict pollution standards such as Japan. These customers prefer ITM’s coals, which have relatively low nitrogen, sulphur and ash content.

ITM manages coal logistics and supplies through an integrated FIFO system at all stockyards allowing quality control throughout all of ITM’s subsidiaries. The coals are systematically monitored by a mine market and logistic software system.
